We are very excited about our 40th anniversary conference in Switzerland next year!

Itinerary:

- 9. 2026 Bern (University Library and National Library)
- 9. 2026 Zürich (Bibliotheksverbund Swiss Library Platform and the Zentralbibliothek)
- 9. 2026 Departure
Library and institutional visits will provide an opportunity for professional dialogue with colleagues; the programme will include a focus group on subject librarianship (with our Swiss colleagues also participating), and a talk on LIS qualifications and routes into the profession in Switzerland.
Conference Fee:
The fee to attend the conference will be £50.
Hotel Recommendations:
At this conference, attendees are asked to book their own accommodation directly. As travel between cities will be by train and we will be based in Basel, we recommend that attendees book one of the following hotels:

IBIS Budget Basel
N.B. Early booking is recommended, as rooms have not been pre-booked. The GSLG committee will shortly be booking rooms in one of these hotels and we strongly encourage attendees to do the same to avoid disappointment.
