
Under the auspices of the German Studies Library Group and in association with the British Library, a lecture in memory of Graham Nattrass (1940-2012) will be delivered on Wednesday 17 June 2026 at the British Library, St Pancras, London. The event will be held in the Foyle Suite; refreshments will be served.

The topic of the lecture is as follows:
‘Prefab Atmospheres: East German Modernist Mass Housing in Film‘
The lecture will be delivered by Dr Stephan Ehrig, Lecturer in German at the University of Glasgow.
Dr Ehrig’s research interests focus on interdisciplinary approaches to diversifying the research on East German cultural production pre- and post-1990, as well as on 19th and 21st century literature, theatre, and film. Before working in Glasgow, he spent four years in Dublin as Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the UCD Humanities Institute and School of Art History and Cultural Policy, preceded by posts at Durham University, and the Institute for Languages, Cultures and Societies at the University of London.
There is no charge to attend the Lecture—which is open to all—but places are limited.
